INTRODUCTION
Cinnamon Cassia Bark (Cortex Cinnamomi) is the dried bark of the plant “Cinnamomum Cassia Presl.” Cortex Cinnamomi is rich in volatile oil, the oil contains Cinnamic aldehyde, benzaldehyde, cinnamic acid, phenylpropyl acetate, cinnamyl acetate, coumarin, Cinnamon alcohol, β-elemenecopaene etc. also contains much polyphenols and flavonoids.
Our factory adopts low temperature smash, Supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction – separation – refining to get Cinnamaldehyde Oil. the polyphenols and flavonoids are extracted by the material after Supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction, it is a pure polyphenols and flavonoids with a very lower content of cinnamaldehyde not more than10ppm and coumarin more than 200ppm.
We blend the Cinnamaldehyde Oil into the Cinnamon Bark power to get a new product which is designed for feed additive, which includes the three main ingredients: Cinnamaldehyde, polyphenols and flavonoids.
The most obvious application for cinnamaldehyde is as flavoring in chewing gum, ice cream, candy, eliquid and beverages; use levels range from 9 to 4,900 parts per million (ppm) (that is, less than 0.5%). It is also used in some perfumes of natural, sweet, or fruity scents. Almond, apricot, butterscotch, and other aromas may partially employ the compound for their pleasant smells. Cinnamaldehyde can be used as a food adulterant; powdered beechnut husk aromatized with cinnamaldehyde can be marketed as powdered cinnamon. Some breakfast cereals contain as much as 187 ppm cinnamaldehyde.
Cinnamaldehyde has been tested as a safe and effective insecticide against mosquito larvae.A concentration of 29 ppm of cinnamaldehyde kills half of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae in 24 hours. Trans-cinnamaldehyde works as a potent fumigant and practical repellant for adult mosquitos. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Cinnamaldehyde is a corrosion inhibitor for steel and other alloys. It is believed to form a protective film on the metal surface.
APPLICATION
A) The Properity of Cinnamon Cassia Bark oil (Cinnamaldehyde Oil) Cinnamic aldehyde
It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, Enhance immunity and raises white, Anti-tumor; Lower blood pressure, lose weight. it is widely used in food as seasoner; in cosmetics, Bath products, aromatherapy as whiten and remove freckle.
B) The Property of polyphenols and flavonoids from Cinnamon Cassia Bark extract.
It can reduce blood sugar, regulate blood fat, resist oxidation, enhance digestive function, eliminate digestive tract accumulation, relieve stomach and intestinal convulsive pain, restrain gastric ulcer formation and other functions, and used in food, pharmaceutical raw materials, health products.
C) The property of Cinnamon Cassia Bark powder blended with Cinnamaldehyde Oil, Cinnamic aldehyde used in feed as sensor feed additive.
The Cinnamaldehyde Oil (Cinnamic aldehyde) has functions:
a) Bacteriostatic sterilization, prevent bacteria, fungal diseases of animals.
b) Antiviral, enhance animal immunity.
c) Improve the feeding ability and improve the appetite of animals.
d) Insect repellent action
